1. Introduction
Xavier Steven LLC, doing business as Xavier Platforms (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operates Xavier Systems AI (the “Software” or “Service”), a macOS desktop control application. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our Software, visit our website at xavierplatforms.com, or interact with our services.
By using Xavier Systems AI, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, do not use our Software or Services.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Account information: name, email address, and any information you provide during registration or early access requests.
- API keys: third-party API keys (such as Anthropic API keys) that you voluntarily enter into the Software for AI functionality. These keys are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.
- Communications: information you provide when contacting us for support, feedback, or inquiries.
- Payment information: if applicable, payment details processed through secure third-party payment processors. We do not store credit card numbers.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage data: anonymized and aggregated data about how you use the Software, including feature usage frequency, error reports, and performance metrics.
- Device information: operating system version, hardware model, and Software version for compatibility and support purposes.
- Log data: crash reports and diagnostic information to improve Software stability.
2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- Screen content: Xavier Systems AI reads your screen's user interface structure locally on your device. This data is processed entirely on your Mac and is never transmitted to our servers.
- Screenshots: any screenshots taken by the Software for functionality purposes are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded to our servers.
- Keystrokes or passwords: the Software does not log, record, or transmit keystrokes, passwords, or sensitive input data.
- File contents: files you attach to the Software for processing are read locally and are not uploaded to our servers. File content may be sent to third-party AI providers (such as Anthropic) as part of your commands, subject to those providers' privacy policies.
- Personal communications: we do not read, store, or transmit the contents of your emails, messages, or other personal communications.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Software and Services.
- To communicate with you about updates, security alerts, and support.
- To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, bugs, and security vulnerabilities.
- To analyze aggregated, anonymized usage patterns to improve the user experience.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
- To respond to your requests, inquiries, and customer support needs.
4. Local-First Data Processing
Xavier Systems AI is designed with a local-first architecture. The core functionality of the Software — including screen reading, element detection, action execution, learned app profiles, chat history, activity logs, and settings — operates entirely on your local device. This data is stored in local files on your Mac and is not transmitted to our servers.
When you use AI-powered features (such as natural language command interpretation), your commands and relevant context may be sent to third-party AI providers (currently Anthropic) using your own API key. This transmission is subject to the third-party provider's privacy policy and terms of service. We do not have access to, store, or process data transmitted between your device and third-party AI providers.
5. Third-Party Services
Xavier Systems AI may integrate with or utilize the following categories of third-party services:
- AI providers (e.g., Anthropic): for natural language processing. Data is sent using your API key, subject to their privacy policies.
- Analytics services: for aggregated, anonymized usage analytics to improve the Software.
- Payment processors: for subscription or purchase transactions, if applicable.
- Hosting providers: for our website and distribution infrastructure.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use in connection with our Software.
6. Data Security
We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:
- Local-first architecture that minimizes data transmission.
- API keys stored locally on your device, never on our servers.
- Automatic redaction of sensitive fields (such as password inputs) from screen data processed by the Software.
- Encrypted communications for any data transmitted to our servers (HTTPS/TLS).
- Regular security assessments and updates.
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
7. macOS Permissions
Xavier Systems AI requires certain macOS permissions to function. These permissions are requested transparently and can be revoked at any time through macOS System Settings:
- Accessibility: required to read and interact with application user interfaces. This permission allows the Software to detect UI elements and perform actions on your behalf.
- Screen Recording: optional, used for window capture functionality. Allows the Software to capture screenshots of specific application windows.
- Automation: optional, used for controlling applications through system scripting interfaces. Requested on a per-application basis.
These permissions grant the Software access to sensitive system capabilities. We take this responsibility seriously and commit to using these capabilities solely for the purposes of providing the Software's intended functionality.
8. Data Retention
Local data (chat history, activity logs, learned profiles, settings) is retained on your device until you delete it or uninstall the Software. We do not retain copies of your local data.
Account information and communications are retained for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with Services. We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes after account deletion.
